Yame, in Fukuoka Prefecture on Japan's southern island of Kyushu, is one of Japan's most respected tea regions. Cool mountain air, morning mist and rich soil give Yame tea a deep umami, natural sweetness and a gentle finish. Yame is especially famous for gyokuro and matcha.

This collection brings together Yame teas we carry in Canada, led by Hoshino-seichaen from Hoshino village, a historic producer of ceremonial matcha and hon-gyokuro. You'll also find Yame sencha, hojicha, genmaicha and Japanese black tea powders.
